Carbon Steel RHS and Pipe

Manufacturing Standards
RHS and Pipe is manufactured by cold forming and electrical resistence welding and is tested to meet the following Australian standards.

Structural
Hollow sections to be used for structural purposes are manufactured to meet:
AS1163 1991 Structural Steel Hollow Sections (Grade C350, C450, C350LO, C450LO).

Coatings
Electrogalvanised coating applied to ALLGAL hollow sections complies to the following standard:
AS 4750 (INT) - 2000 Electrogalvanised (zinc) coating on ferrous hollow sections.

Mechanical
Hollow sections used for mechanical purposes are manufactured to meet:
AS 1450-1983 Steel Tubes for Mechanical Purposes (Grade C350, C450 ERW)

Pipes for water/gas reticulation
Pipe to be used for low pressure water/gas are manufactured to meet:
AS 1074-1989 Steel Tubes and Tubulars for ordinary service. It also covers the requirements for threading. Note this products is not meant for high pressure applications.
